The NEW progressivebreaks.net

Welcome to the new progressivebreaks.net! We went back to the drawing board, and re-thought our strategy. We wanted a way to share news (like new tracks, mixes, and artist), opinions (reviews), and maybe start some conversations (albeit on the small scale). The forum didn't seem like the best way to keep people up to date with the latest stuff... and the software behind it didn't allow us to configure it the way we wanted to. A blog like the one you're currently reading seemed to suit the bill.

The old forum is still at http://progressivebreaks.net/forum, but we'll be phasing it out over the upcoming weeks. So, if you registered on there, I'm afraid you'll have to register on here again if you want to contribute to the site. The good news is that the new system we're using will allow us to grow and add new features , while keeping the same userbase. So, if the traffic picks up, and people start leaving comments, we'll look into starting the forum up again.

The podcast will be returning as well. The PBN studio was down for a while for a much-needed cleaning and re-painting. We've also upgraded our setup to include Traktor Scratch Pro... That will give us a great deal more flexibility in putting together mixes. However as with all new gear we're still learning how best to work with TSP, so once we have that down, podcasts should start flowing out on a more regular basis (*knock on wood*).

Also if you haven't noticed we've started a @progbreaksnet twitter account. Follow us to keep up with the latest progressive breaks tidbits. We're constantly scouring the net for new stuff, and you might get a sneak peek of what we're listening to.

And of course with any new site, this one is still under construction. We'll be moving things around and adding/removing functionality as we experiment with what works best. If you notice anything is broken or if you have any feedback, please shoot an email to admin@progressivebreaks.net .

Thanks, and enjoy the new site!
